The commuter allowance calculator ascertains the distance between your home and workplace and assesses whether it is reasonable or unreasonable for you to use public transport. Based on the results, any allowance due to you because of your commuter status is shown in euros.
This tool enables you to determine whether you have a legal right to a commuter allowance and the amount of that allowance. The result can be printed out and can be submitted to your employer, so that it can be taken into account in the calculation of your tax liability for the year in question.
The printout should be either submitted to your employer or retained for assessment of your tax liability in the year in question.
